Delivered in July 2023, the first of four Force Supply Ships (Bâtiments Ravitailleur de Forces, BRF) intended for the French Navy, the “Jacques Chevallier,” had to wait nearly sixteen months to be officially commissioned into active service. This delay followed a lengthy four-month deployment to validate its military capabilities.

The BRF Jacques Stosskopf is now heading towards the Arctic and Pacific regions for its extended deployment.
