In November 2024, the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA) announced the acquisition of eight next-generation autonomous underwater drones, known as A-18M, from Exail. This acquisition is part of the French Navy’s SLAM-F (Future Mine Countermeasures System) program. Initially, these drones were intended to be equipped with a Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAMDIS).
