Navy to Acquire New Maritime Patrol Aircraft for €3 Billion

In February, Airbus confirmed that its A321XLR aircraft has been selected by the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) to succeed the Atlantic 2 maritime patrol aircraft currently operated by the French Navy. To this end, a risk-sharing contract lasting twenty-four months has been established.

The Ministry of Armed Forces is set to order new maritime patrol aircraft in 2026 for a budget of €3 billion.
