In November of last year, Poland announced its selection of the A26 submarine, also known as the Blekinge class, from Swedish manufacturer Saab Kockums as part of its Orka program. This program was launched in July 2023 after being dormant for several years. Poland’s decision favors this advanced solution over alternatives that could have been available in shorter timeframes.
