Last week, through a summary of contracts notified in 2025, the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) confirmed that it has ordered a fourth Frigate for Defense and Intervention (FDI) from Naval Group on behalf of the French Navy. This frigate is not expected to be delivered before 2031, unless there are changes in the timeline.

The Fleet Support Service has entrusted Naval Group with the maintenance of the first two Frigates for Defense and Intervention.
