Initiated by Italy, with France and Greece as primary partners, and later joined by Spain and Romania, the “European Patrol Corvette” (EPC) project was selected in 2019 by the European Commission to receive funding from the European Defence Fund (FEDef) under the framework of Permanent Structured Cooperation (PESCO).
